I like to photograph the facades of old buildings. I am interested in the shapes and patterns that are made from years of wear and tear. Each mark representing someone’s story. This painting was inspired by a photograph I took of the church where my grandmother got married in Mexico City in the early 1940s. I felt as if her spirit was there.
