Polestar is a modernist, mid century inspired piece that is reminiscent of the space driven sputnik designs of the 50's and 60's during the atomic age. As with all my work, I am fascinated by things that are both modern yet somewhat nostalgic or now called retrofuturism.
 
The clean modern, monocromatic colors focus on form, balance and composition over a bold color palette. Elegant yet commanding, this piece feels like a heirloom that has been around for decades, but it is brand new. It is wired to hang and finished on all sides besides the back.
