Hitchcock is a modern wall sculpture created from mdf, reclaimed black cherry wood and acrylic and metallic enamel paint. The piece balances a complex composition with a limited color palette. It seems to be at once both complex and simple, confusing and calm.  

When I was a child, I would look at Alfred Hitchcock books and I was pleasantly horrified at the inside covers of these books which showed fantastic images of the macabre. The color palette reminded me of these books. Secondly the arching and aggressive slivers of wood suggest a dense forest hiding secrets or monsters or men.  

The piece is mounted on a gold metallic enamel backer and comes wired to hang.
