Breaker is a modern mixed media wall sculpture, constructed from MDF, acrylic, varnish and repurposed Black cherry wood. The limited monochrome color palette emphasizes the form and composition over a broad color palette. I designed this piece to be somewhat reminiscent of past influences (mid century modernism and Art Deco) while also nodding to the future. The result is a stunning retro-futurist sculptural piece that will command any room. The name references the sleek and swooping composition which could be interpreted as the billowing sails of boats or the crest of a breaking wave. Wired to hang and finished on all sides (Besides the back).
